Welcome to the About page of Right Click Classroom! My name is Amy, and I am delighted to have the opportunity to share my passion for secondary English Language Arts (ELA) education with you. As an experienced educator and a firm believer in the transformative power of technology, I have dedicated my career to empowering teachers like you with the tools and resources needed to create an upgraded ELA classroom experience.

A Little Bit About Me:

Teaching has always been more than just a profession for me; it’s a calling, a lifelong commitment to nurturing young minds and helping them unlock their full potential. I knew before I started kindergarten I wanted to be a teacher. With a background in secondary education and a specialization in ELA, I have had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the profound impact a dynamic and engaging learning environment can have on students.

I taught secondary English Language Arts at an alternative / institutional school for several years. Now, I teach Sophomore English and AP Language and Composition at a public high school on the prairies of Wyoming (yes, people actually live here). Throughout my teaching journey, I noticed a need for embracing digital resources to effectively engage and inspire the digital natives in our classrooms. Technology offers us an incredible opportunity to connect with students on a deeper level, tap into their creativity, and foster a genuine love for literature and language.

Why Right Click Classroom?

Right Click Classroom was born out of my passion for merging the power of technology with the principles of ELA education. It is a blog and resource space designed to empower secondary ELA teachers with innovative teaching strategies, practical resources, and a supportive community to elevate their teaching practices. Here, I aim to bridge the gap between traditional teaching methods and the ever-evolving digital landscape, helping educators create a vibrant and student-centered learning environment.
